Innova says this about the Sidewinder: "The Sidewinder is a fast flyer with a predictable high-speed turn and lots of glide. This disc can add distance to anyone’s drive, but is especially useful for those with less power. The Sidewinder is our best disc for long turnover shots and long-distance rollers. Even disc golfers who have never had much success throwing a roller shot, will be amazed at the results they can achieve with the Sidewinder."

Helpfulness
I already had a max ...
Feb 3, 2026
I already had a max weight Sidewinder that works great in the wind for me, but I wanted a lighter one for my struggling sidearms. I really like this one, it looks great and flys great too. Now I have to decide between this and my Insanity
Moondust Champion is stable but more stable than flight numbers suggest. 3.5/5
Feb 21, 2025
This was an experimental purchase. I recently had a star roadrunner that was a more stable than its numbers stated (more on that later). I had heard that sidewinders were a bit more understable and great hyzerflip discs, so I wanted to try the new moondust champion sidewinder fully expecting it to be a tad bit more stable because of the champion plastic. However, it was pretty stable for me even at 171 grams. I was expecting it to flip to flat and push a decent amount before fading. For the flight that I wanted I had to throw it a littler flatter or with a slight amount of anhyzer (I am not a noodle arm but definitely not pro strength). I actually think this might be a good hyzerflip disc into a headwind or after it hits a few trees it might fly a littler truer to its numbers. Profile, feel, and look are amazing (as well as the speed of the delivery! Thank you 1010!). I would give it a 3.5/5 because of the flight numbers which I would say are closer to 8 5 0 2. I really like how Innova has adjusted some of its flight numbers with different plastics for particular discs. It would be helpful for consumers if they did it with all discs. Until a machine is created to help sort out the flight numbers, sometimes you have to experiment. But it would be wonderful if manufacturers could do what Innova (perhaps some others are doing it too) has started doing by adjusting the flight numbers to more accurately depict the flight of a disc. As always 1010 is the best in the business! Get your discs here!
